Peace on earth, good will to men!
Hello Quilt Friends!Quilt News from the valley where we have frosty nights and sunny days. And Christmas Cards and gifts are being mailed out, almost done!

This week I'll be piecing my sawtooth border for my Mostly Green Challenge Quilt. I'm excited with the progress.
And I'm sampling Sashiko Stitches from Sashikolab.com and from my books using Sashiko Stitches in mending, The Mending Directory by Erin Eggenburg and Creative Mending by Hikaru Noguchi.
Excellent reading if Sashiko/Darning/Stitching techniques interest you.

And that is the quilt news from the valley where I'm keeping this short because there's a lot of seasonal busy stuff happening around here.
I'll be by to visit.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

We are having the same kind of weather. Nights are chilly but midday’s sunshine is very pleasant.
I do love your border with long and tapered sawtooth.
Thank you for your friendship during the year. Have a wonderful holiday.

Love the sawtooth border! And the sashiko! Fun to try a variety of patterns, isn't it?

Oh your Mostly Green Challenge Quilt I like very much indeed! Love how you've treated the centre with different sized squares.

Thank you Maureen. The AHIQ challenge I used in my Mostly Green is scale. The small squares used in the sixteen patches and then larger in the nine patch blocks and larger still in the four patch blocks and of course the medallion itself is square.

We have been having frosty nights and frosty days too. I very much like your sawtooth borders. The spikes are really pleasing with the squares.
