Two of my new scrappy Logcabin Blocks.

I've finished more 'Classic Tomato Pincushions' for gifts.

Hello Quilt Friends!!

Fall leaves are colorful and falling fast in the valley.

The last couple of weeks I've been using up scraps making a new pile of small improv Logcabin blocks to use in projects.  I enjoy working small! The new blocks will finish at approx. 3" square.

And I'm reading through my copy of Twenty Little Logcabin Quilts by Gwen Marston for inspiration.

I've also finished a few more 'Classic Tomato Pincushions' for gifts. I'm using beautiful striated batiks, a gift to me. There are many good tutorials for tomato pincushions on YouTube. I used the Pin Cut Sew tutorial and tweaked it a little to my liking.

Do you machine or hand quilt or both?? Do you prefer one over the other, why?

And that is the quilt news from the compound where fall leaves cover the ground and neighborhood squirrels are busy caching nuts.

I'll be by to visit.
