Mariposa Meadow Charms, March Butterfly 2017

March 2017 butterfly, Red-spotted Purple.

Coin quilt in progress, fabric from Mariposa Meadow is included.

This is progress on my small 'Liberated' butterfly quilt in red/white.

Happy Weekend!!
March already!! St. Patrick's Day is almost here.

I'm linking up with Ann @ Fret Not Yourself
for Kaleidoscope of Butterflies, celebrating butterflies.

I've posted photos of two quilts I'm working on that have butterflies on them. The 'Liberated' red butterflies are pieced to resemble butterflies in the liberated style. I've added a saw tooth border and will probably finish it with red binding.

My coin quilt is being pieced with fabric that has butterflies printed on it, the Mariposa Meadow line by Elizabeth Isle; which can be found here at Missouri Star Quilt Company.

The butterfly for March, the Red-spotted Purple is brush-footed and lives mostly on the east coast and south into Mexico.
Here around Rancho Palos Verdes the last couple of days have been warm and I've seen Monarchs flying around the flowering shrubs.

Hope you take time to enjoy butterflies today.
I'll be by to visit!
