Foggy this morning and has been the last few days in Rancho Palos Verdes. |
I went with a white binding, actually Kona 'snow', on my small red/white quilt. |
I'm sewing binding on my liberated log cabin, then I'll press it and hand sew down. |
Looking south on Rancho Palos Verdes coast, foggy. |
North view and fog again. |
A break in the fog now and then. |
Hello from foggy Rancho Palos Verdes!!
My son tells me it's a Marine Layer. It's been foggy for about 3 or 4 days, very mysterious and quiet.
I've had time to sew bindings on two quilts and press that down ready to hand sew onto the back.
We have to travel to the Seattle area for a week as a friend just passed away.
I'll have down time to hand sew there.
If you've been aware of or watching information on the Nor Cal Oroville Dam situation here is some of the most clear and accurate information to be found, Oroville Dam 12th March update.
I have family living in Nor Cal and I've lived there in the past so this interests me.
I'm amazed how this 50 yr. old important infrastructure has been so carelessly neglected.
Hope you have a great Monday!
I'll be by to visit and share your project adventures.
And they say Sunny California!? I hope the fog clears up soon.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are preparing some sewing for your trip. Drive carefully in the fog.
Thank you, Queenie.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! The white and red quilt is striking!
ReplyDeleteI guess in the grand scheme of things fog is better than snow, but still hope it clears up and the sun shines. All those yellow flowers look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of white binding - can't wait to see how it looks all done. Your photos this week are really beautiful, despite (or maybe because of) the fog.
ReplyDeleteyou have fog, we have constant rain....I swear I'm going to build an ark!! I hope you're well x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen.
ReplyDeleteI think your ark would most likely be nautically embellished.
, just for fun.
