This is a very quick update. I've been studying this little quilt and trying to get it to the point where it works out as a whole. I knew that little saturated dark solid blue/green square in the top left hand four patch was going to have to go. Time consuming, yes, but it needed to be done.
Now it works as a whole and I'm happy with it.
Enjoy the spring!
Do you have any challenging designs that need editing? How do you work that out? Besides throwing it away.
I'll be by to visit.
I have two challenging quilt tops that are in time out while I work on some simple pieces but soon I will likely be using a seam ripper too.
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm not sure, I leave it on my design wall for a while until I'm ready to face the challenge. Seeing it up there helps me consider my options.
ReplyDeleteWhether #2 or #3 it's a beauty!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I need to have when I get stuck is time. ‘Sleeping’ on it is my way to ‘see’ what needs to be done to improve something that I am not pleased with.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you have the instinct to correct a problem of colour. You are one of the most colour confidences quilters I know.
Keep up the good work.
