Kaleidoscope of Butterflies #19, 'Liberated' Butterfly Blocks, Fox Hollow Farm

https://fretnotyourself.blogspot.com
Liberated Butterflies w border, 45" x 21", my design.

Close-up, four patches are 4" x 4".
We visited Fox Hollow Farm in Issaquah, WA.

Beautiful farm buildings at Fox Hollow Farm.

Pony rides anyone?

There was a little farmers market on site, notice the pea hen on the roof?

Cute bunny here.

There were carrots and lettuce if you wanted to feed the animals.

Sweet farm kitty playing in the farmer's market.

Chickens and pigs put on a good show for us.

                                                          Hello from sunny Pacific NW!

Time for Kaleidoscope of Butterflies again!
I'm linking up with Ann @ fretnotyourself and Cathy @ saneandcrazy, celebrating butterflies.

I've sewed a border on my 'liberated' butterflies, 45" x 21". The border fabric is by Tim Holtz . There's
some letters on the fabric and some 'distress' used as design elements. I'm thinking of naming it, 'Gathering.'

This week we visited Fox Hollow Family Farm in Issaquah, WA. It's located in a scenic area.
My grandson loved it and had an exciting time seeing all the farm animals up close. The farm animals were happy to be admired and put on a good show. It's well run and perfect for a family outing.

I hope you're having a great week, enjoying the summer.
Remember to stop by the local farmers market.
I'll be by to visit.

  2. What a lovely farm, so much to enjoy for the whole family.
Did you 'distress' and print the letters on the border fabric yourself?

  3. No I didn't distress it, it came that way. Tim Holtz, he designed the border fabric, is known for that type of design, adding distress and layers of elements for a great look.
Yes, Queenie, Fox Hollow Farm is a lot of fun.

  6. Perfect border for your butterflies. I would have been looking for blue or beige and doubt I'd have thought of this one. Love the airy print, the bits of orange red, and the way it reads slightly darker than background. The orange red compliments the butterflies so well.
Have fun with your family. Thanks for linking with Kaleidoscope of Butterflies.

  7. I just love your butterflies flitting to and fro. I have some different Tim Holtz fabrics that are distressed looking and just love them. Looks like Fox Hollow Farm is a great place to visit.

  11. I love how your butterflies have turned out. I like all the colours shining against the neutral backgrounds, and that they are flying in all different directions, and also the way the border fabric fades in and out.

  12. Those peaches look fantastic but make me feel sad as we are nearing the end of the season here and it already feels more like autumn than summer. All your blocks are looking good and that class sounds like a lot of fun. As for the machine, I hope you are doing better with the new one.
