Barn Raising Red and Animal Style......

Barn Raising Red, hand quilted.

In-n-Out fries, 'animal style', tasty.

Happy President's Day! We went out to In-n-Out for lunch, everyone else did too, it was crowded, but good.
This Barn Raising Red is one of my favorite quilts, I hand quilted it.
Hand quilting gives such a unique texture. I'm starting to look at it differently. I used to think it was too labor intensive. Now I am starting to see it for what it is, an art form. I noticed when my attitude about it changed, hand quilting got a lot easier and went a lot faster. Sounds like some kind of a life lesson here, hmmmmm.

Local In-n-Out, busy today.

Alas no In-n-out's here - maybe that's a good thing because those fries sure do look good!

What sauce are the fried potatoes topped with? I have never seen such a dish before.
Your Barn Raising quilt is very beautiful and hand quilting is often what 'makes a quilt a quilt'. It IS labour intensive, but the result is long lasting and will always give you pride.
Enjoy!

Barn Raising Red is striking. I agree about the hand quilting!

Yes, they are good and that's why I only eat there a few times a year.

Thank you, Queenie.
The french fries have a 'secret' sauce on them. Cheese is melted on top then the sauce is layered on, which I think is similar to Thousand Island dressing but not as sweet. In-n-Out calls that 'animal style'. I only indulge a few times a year as it is scrumptious but rich.

beautiful quilt Janie. I saw fries like that when I was at the baseball in San Francisco. I never did try them

Thanks, Karen. The fries are delicious but lots of calories, so they aren't something I can eat all the time.
