More Sunflower Pincushions are being made, I love them. |
Hello Quilt Friends!
Spring weather is lovely, Camellias, Quince and Azaleas are blooming in the neighborhood, lovely.
I finished hand quilting my Barn Raising with Borders Quilt, approx. 54" x 54". It's taken me about 2 yr.s to finish hand quilting it. Now onto the binding!
And in my last post I showed progress on my new scrappy improv quilt using leftover pieces and scraps pieced into units. I had added a new border on the left, a left over strip border from another recent project. The more I looked at that new border the more I didn't like it. The colors didn't work with the whole piece. And so I unpicked it and thought for a while and rummaged around in my scraps and put another border together and pieced it on and everyone is now happy! The colors work together and now it measures 15.5" x 15.5".
This week I'm making up more Sunflower Pincushions to give away. They are very cute. And I use Beth Shibley's Flower Pincushion YouTube tutorial, excellent tutorial.
That's the progress news from the valley. What Scrappy projects are you dreaming of?
I'll be by to visit!
